Welcome to LBRA

Welcome to Long Beach Rowing Association (LBRA)! We are located at 5750 Boathouse Lane, at the historic Marine Stadium and the site of the 1932 Olympic rowing venue. As a steward for the sport of rowing and a US Rowing Training Center Partner; LBRA endeavors to advance rowing and sportsmanship through its relationship with the surrounding community. LBRA hosts local Regattas, and has an extensive fleet of boats available to its members. All fitness levels are welcome to join and learn to row. We also have masters and elite rowing programs at LBRA.

The Boathouse will be completely shut down from 5:00 am Friday, August 4 through 6:00 pm Monday, August 7 for termite fumigation. Highly toxic gases will be in use, and the whole boathouse will be covered in a containment tent.

ALL lockers, including privately rented ones, must be unlocked, open, and cleared of all contents. This is state law and is to avoid trapping the gases once work is complete. Any locks not removed will be cut off at the occupant’s expense.
Similarly, all separately lockable spaces (including but not limited to coaching offices) must be left open and unlocked for inspection access.

During fumigation, gas service will be cut off, with water heaters taking another day to recover full temperature.
