Adult Learn to Row Programs

The Long Beach Rowing Association offers Adults the opportunity to experience this Olympic Sport year round. Many weeknights, weekday mornings and weekend sessions are available by appointment for your convenience. Cost: Special Introductory rate of $150 for group lessons and $250 for private lessons for a set of 5 lessons. These lessons will determine if you want to continue rowing(no point in paying for membership if rowing is not for you). After your lessons you will be qualified to row in the boat you learned to row in to start your rowing journey. Below is suggested lesson and group rowing times (All are by appointment to insure equipment and instructors are available):

Weekday Evening Classes:

6:00 pm – 7:30 pm |
|
Friday night (during Daylight Savings):
|
Sweep rowing in eight and four oared shells. |
|
Tuesday & Thursday:
|
Sculling in singles and double sculls. |
|
Wednesday:
|
Team boats sculling and / or sweep |
|
Weekday Morning Classes:
|
5:30 am – 9:00 am (Variable Time frame) |

Tuesday & Thursday:
|
Sculling start times are variable from 5:30 am to 9:00 am. |
|
Weekend Morning Classes (Must complete Basic Sculling session(s)):

6:30 am to 8:35 am |
|
Saturday team boats:
|
9:00 am to 11:00 am |
|
Saturday introduction sculling session:
|
10:15 am – 12:45 pm |
|
Sunday introduction sculling session:

9:00 am to 11:00 am |
