I became
differently abled in 1993 following a failed back
surgery. Since becoming a paraplegic, I have
accomplished many things, including 4 world championship
gold medals in the sport of rowing, becoming a USRowing
level III coach, running an adaptive rowing program and
even a return to surfing, because I never gave up!
My goal is to attempt a world rowing record being the
first disabled/differently abled woman to Cross the
Atlantic ocean by oar in December of 2007! I invite you
to check out the website ROWOFLIFE.NET
to find out more about the project.
It is summer and LBRA kids
camps have begun. This year they are doing all of the sessions in the
mornings which leaves the evening time slot open. We will be rowing
Monday thru Friday from 6-9 PM. Due to high volumes of boat traffic
we will no longer be rowing on the weekends. For more info or to sign up -
