2012 Beach Sprints scheduled on February 4

The 2,000 meter race on Concept 2 machines is one of twenty “satellite” regattas held across the United States for which Concept 2 funds up to four “qualifiers” to travel to Boston to compete at the World Indoor Rowing Championships held every February. 

Entry Deadline: January 27, 2012     

Entry Fee: $20,   $15 for students

LIGHTWEIGHTS can weigh in anytime after 7am.  There is no time limit.  It is winter weight for this competition.     Men 165lbs,  Women 135lbs

2011 Beach Sprints was held on Saturday, January 29, 2011

Thank you to the Beach Sprints’ dedicated race organizers and volunteers:  Jim Litzinger, John Van Blom, Bill Stout, Hope Wilkinson, and Ron Harvey 

Races went off on time every 15 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a few scheduled breaks throughout the day  

Five racers met the tough Boston qualifying time:

Sherri Kline, LBRA - Senior Ltwt. Women (40-49 yrs.)

Joan Van Blom, LBRA  - Veteran Ltwt. Women (55-59 yrs.)

Steve Krum, Spectrum - Veteran Men (55-59 yrs.)

Jill Ammirato, LBRA – Veteran Women (60-64 yrs.)

Robert Spenger, LBRA - Veteran Men (85+ yrs.)
