Located on Maryland's eastern shore, Chestertown is a beautiful place to row, and our campers will stay in the dorms at Washington College right in town.     Description: The oldest sculling camp in the nation, Craftsbury remains one of the definitive training locations and experiences for scullers worldwide. For nearly three decades, beginners and Olympians alike have returned season after season to train with world-class coaches in a setting of unrivaled natural beauty. Craftsbury offers a large fleet of new boats and elite 1x demo program. New for 2004, any USRowing member who has never been to Craftsbury will receive a 10% discount on their first trip to a Craftsbury sculling camp.

    Description: Camp is designed for rowers desiring the intense training necessary for competition directed toward Junior Nationals.  Daily practices are held Monday through Saturday. Rowers will fine tune their rowing skills and maintain their competitive edge through the summer months.

    Dates and Sessions: Camp begins June 19 and continues through Junior Nationals July 21-25

    Ages: Male rowers 18 and under. Male and female coxswains 18 and under

    Cost: Camp cost is $200, which does not include travel, and lodging for Nationals.

    Description: The 2004 San Diego Rowing Club Development camp is open to all experienced rowers that want to further develop their technique and boat speed skills. Training will be held twice a day in various boats (sweep and sculling), concentrating on small boats and boat skills. The objective of the camp is to train athletes to compete at the USRowing Nationals in Indianapolis . Regattas such as Southwest Regionals ( Long Beach ) and Regatta del Sol (Marina del Rey) might also be included for tune-up racing. The camp will offer the opportunity for the athlete to race in a variety of boats and experience training in a highly competitive environment. Video feedback will be available for take home. The program will take place at beautiful Mission Bay . The excellent weather and water conditions, top of the line equipment and great people will make this a summer to remember.

    Dates and Sessions: June 9 through July 31

    Ages: Open to collegiate and post-collegiate men and women. This is a Camp for experienced rowers. You will be requested to submit 6k and 2k erg test times.

    Cost: $375. Includes a Summer Membership to San Diego Rowing Club

    Description: Learn to row and learn to row better. The camp includes how to erg effectively, and technical development. There are clinics on nutrition, strength training, conditioning, flexibility and it is all instructed by University of Tennessee Coaches.

    Description: Camp is open to all skill levels to rowers and coxswains. The primary focus is on improving fundamental rowing skills as well as addressing dry land training topics?core and strength training, ergometer training and testing, racing tactics, ect.

    Cost: $565 overnight camper/ $395 day camper

    Housing Opportunities: All overnight campers are housed at a local boarding school, St. Anne?s Belfield. Dorm suites are newly furnished and air-conditioned.

  • Masters Camps - Augusta Jan. thru April (see website for details). Escape the winter blues AND improve your technique. Masters Camps features coaching from former Soviet and U.S. Olympic coach Igor Grinko and 3-time Olympian M. Sean Hall. Also featuring JUNIOR CAMPS spring and summer. All skill levels welcome.

     

  • Colby Crew Camp 2003. Waterville, Maine. July 13-17, 2003 The Colby Crew Camp is for High School aged men and women. Beginners as well as experienced rowers and coxswains are welcome.

     

  • Raritan Valley Rowing Camp will be running its 14th season for 12 to 18 year old beginners and experienced rowers. The two sessions are July 13-17 and July 20-24. The staff are colleges coaches representing top college programs from around the colleges.

     

  • Navy Rowing Camp for Girls: The 9th Annual Navy Rowing Camp for Girls offers Residential and Day Camps in June and July at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Campers will be thoroughly schooled in all aspects of rowing and coxing by experienced and talented coaches from across the country. All skill levels welcome from beginner to advanced.

     

  • NIKE Rowing Camps 2004, offering highly individualized training programs for youth and masters. Nike is sponsoring camps at 13 locations in 2003.

     

  • 2004 Racing Camp at Boston University for high school girls aged 15-18. Come and join our camp on the Charles River July 27-Aug 2, open to both beginners and advanced rowers.

     

  • Charles River Rowing Camps 2003, for *high school age* women and men, June 16-21 and June 23-28, 2003

     

  • Princeton International Regatta Association Resolute Racing Camps; PIRA and Resolute Racing Shells will offer two, one week intensive camps for high school students in Summer 2003. The camps will feature top college coaches and guest appearances by US Team Coaches and Athletes. All campers will row in Resolutes! Camp Dates: July 7-11 and July 21-25.

     

  • Navy Performance Enhancement Clinics: Offering unique clinics for Children, Adults and Coaches in February and August at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Taught by Mike Hughes, the Navy Performance Enhancement Coordinator, each day-long clinic introduces the performance enhancing techniques used by Olympians, professional athletes, and other highly successful people.

     

  • Bulldog Rowing Camp at Yale University invites young men and young women ages 13-18 to come to Yale to obtain professional, personal, and positive instruction in sweep rowing and coxing from the Yale coaching staff. Bulldog Rowing Camp is for all skill levels from beginners to four-year high school varsity rowers, grouped according to skill. Session I: July 21-July 26, 2003; Session 2: July 28- August 2, 2003. Day and overnight campers welcome.

     

  • CRC Sculling Camps, Featuring top international coaching, catering to all experience levels - beginners to advanced, with 2002/03 season camps at Henley-on-Thames, England; Seville, Spain; Elberton, Georgia USA; Whistler, Canada; and Penrith, Australia

     

  • HomePond Rowing with Marnie McBean gives you the flexibility to have a clinic or camp when ever and where ever you want. Marnie McBean, 6x Olympic and World Champion, travels to your club or "HomePond", working with you in your boat in your home environment. Whether you are a coach looking for someone to add a kick to your program or a rower who doesn't have a regular coach there is a HomePond program for you.

     

  • All-Inclusive Masters Camp: Calm Waters Rowing - an all-inclusive, up-scale rowing camp designed with the masters rower in mind, in Lancaster, VA, March through mid-November.
